Driver side rear door, lock not working

Driver side rear door, electric remote and manual lock not working. ( other 3 doors work fine ).2004 Dodge Dakota SLT4.7L V 8, sohc Magnum5 speed Auto Tran49853 miles

Even trying to lock by hand, does not lock?

Thoughts on what may be the problem and how to fix is appreciated.

this can be linkage disconnected, no power to unit or broken pieces. best is to pull the door panel off and see if unit gets power or look for disconnected/broken pieces in the linkage.
