My dodge stratus wont start

I cannot seem to start my 2004 dodge stratus. I think its a mechanical problem. My unlock/lock key thing doesnt work either. When I try to start it, it doesnt budge and there's no sound at all.

Check to see if there is power to the starter. Have a helper turn the key to the start positon while you check for power to the smaller wire on the starter. You should get 12+ volts. If you do get power, chances are the starter is bad. If there is no power, check the starter relay and the ignition switch.
