It means look at the gauges on the dash to see which one is indicating a problem. Typically the charging voltage is too low, the engine is overheating, or the oil pressure is low. The last two are potentially serious so Chrysler added the "Check Gauges" light to get the attention of drivers who don't pay attention to the gauges or know how to interpret their readings.
