When i start the car, why does the RPM jump up & down?

does it go away?any warning lights on.

it likely happens cause it's running too lean. this raises rpms, then computer tries to lower it. cycle continues. may have vacuum leak or wrong input signals to computer fuel mix from TEMP or MAF sensor.

No warning lights on...it only does it when the engine is cold.
