I WAS WANTING TO KNOW HOW WOULD I GO ABOUT RUNNING, AND WHERE TO RUN A GROUND WIRE (G-101 STRAP) THAT GOES TO THE TRANSMISSION STUD. ALSO WHERE IS THIS GROUND WIRE GOING TO, I WAS TOLD IT'S GOING TO THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD BUT THE WIRE I SEE THAT IS GOING TO THE TRANSMISSION STUD LOOKS TO BE THE SAME SIZE AS THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE. THEN I WAS TOLD IT WAS GOING TO THE ENGINE BLOCK, I WAS GIVEN A DIAGRAM THIS G 101 STRAP FROM ANOTHER ONLINE SITE (see attached image) HOWEVER I DO NOT KNOW WHERE IT'S GOING AND WHERE TO RUN THE NEW GROUND WIRE. PLEASE HELP ME AND I'M HOPING THAT I WORDED THE QUESTION PROPER. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

Our manual says it goes to rear of engine block with no picture showing. It is the negative battery cable so if you connect it to the transmission stud that is perfectly fine. Just make sure it's clean wher eit's connected and not corroded.

I THANK YOU SO MUCH. SO I CAN RUN THE NEW WIRE STRAIGHT FROM THE NEGATIVE BATT TO THE TRANSMISSION STUD, OR SHOULD I RUN THIS WIRE FROM A BOLT SOME WHERE ON THE ENGINE BLOCK. I AM UNABLE TO SPLICE INTO THE ORIGINAL WIRE BECAUSE ITS IN A BAD SPOT RIGHT BY THE MOTOR MOUNT. I'M WANTING TO RUN THE WIRE A DIFFERENT ROUTE SO THAT THIS MOTOR MOUNT DOESN'T FRAY THE WIRE AGAIN. HOW DO I DO THIS?

Just measure the length of a new negative battery cable to the trans stud and give it a cople of inches longer for flexing. Then replace the cable to there.
