2004 Chrysler Pacifica funny noise

While I'm driving it sounds like the a/c is running but its off. When I turn the car off it sounds the same for about 10 seconds then it stops. What could this be?

You've got an electric cooling fan that is temperature-controlled. It will remain running if the thermistor is switched on due to engine temperature.
