the heat will not blow out of defrost or floor it only blows on the dash vents. is there a fuse that runs this or what can i check for?

The air flow is changed by vent doors in the HVAC system. The doors are actuated by engine vacuum. Check for vacuum leaks under the dash. If you are lucky, with the engine running, you may hear a hissing sound from the leak.
