The car started and was idling for about 15 seconds, then it shut off. Now it will not start. I scanned the codes and I get P0944 and P0706. Can you tell me how to repair this?

The 706 is a range sensor issue. If the transmission thinks it is in gear, the engine will not crank. The sensor could be the issue with this problem. However, the 944 deals with hydraulic pressure in the transmission. This problem will not result in a no start, but rather it will cause a delayed shift or the vehicle won't move at all.
