2004 Chrysler Concorde antifreeze

After a while of engine running the antifreeze starts to boil but inside the car it doesn't show to be overheated, you can see it boiling in the antifreeze compartment and every few days the antifreeze level is low.

first of all, does the temp gauge work at all ? can you see it rise from cold to normal? I would suggest that you have a combustion gas or leak down test down to check for a blown head gasket.
