2004 trailblazer, straight 6,75k miles.random problem, sometimes cranks over briefly, not long enough to start. On 3rd try fires up fine.normally you don't have to hold the key in the start position.once in a great while you do.the battery is pretty new,

Normally you dont have to hold the key in the start position to start the engine. On occasion,it will crank for just a second and stop.after the 3rd try it does fine.this is very random, hot or cold doesnt seem to matter. Its been pretty well maintained, fuel filters, oil changes etc.the battery is 2 months old.it runs perfectly otherwise.just short cranking spells from time to time.I normally wouldn't worry about it but i plan on selling it to a inlaw. thanks.Ed.
