Loss of electric for a second once and a while

Battery gage goes below 14 and then goes back up. lights dim and go come back what could be the prablem there is a new alternator in the car i was wondering if there is a relay or somthing that is causing this

Could be the computer controlled of the alternator's field generation-Have the alternator load tested and double check connections-
