Engine running hot?

Recently I have noticed that my temperature gauge is running 240 degrees when driving around town. When I get on highway it goes back to 210 degrees. What could be causing this?

It sounds like the fan clutch has gone bad which is common, here is a guide to help and I have include how to change it out as well and this guide and video will help.
