2004 Chevrolet Suburban Speedometer doesn't work

Everything on the instrument cluster works except speedometer I was told it was a motor in the cluster how do I fix it

Have it scanned for codes first it would be the speed sensor on trans unplug and unbolt then replace

Yep, I have seen the VSS sensor cause this problem here is the location of the sensor so you can swap it out, if that does not work you will need to remove the cluster and get stepper motor kit from ebay to help if it which I have included instructions for. Also this video will show you how to remove the cluster for repair or rebuild.
