2004 Chevrolet Suburban Previous Power Steering Problems Got Stuck Snow Bank

no previous power steering problems. Got stuck in a snow bank, wheels were turned hard to right, put it in 4 wheel drive
got out but had no power steering. Belt is ok and fluid level ok, could this be something electrical?

no, all mechanical.

make sure the belt is not slipping around the pump. otherwise, have the pump pressure checked and the steering box checked,
