oil pressure is low. any ideas?

My 2004 suburban z71 has 106000 miles and ran well until yesterday. The oil pressure bottomed out and engine started tapping. Mechanic replaced the oil pump but it didn't get better. Any ideas?

The oil pump relief valve could be stucked open or engine bearings problem
