I just rebuilt the engine and when i cranked the car the oil pump wasn't pumping oil. Have i ruined this rebuilt engine now and do i have any alternatives besides redoing everything i just rebuilt? It sounds terrible when i crank it (lifters, etc)

Thanks

You need to get oil pressure before you start the engine or it will sound bad. Once you get pressure, it may be fine. NOTE:Do not continue to run the engine without oil pressure.
