The gages - tach, oil pressure and volt meter don't read right. The digtal read outs for mileage, mpg, and etc constantly switches langages.

Check applicable trouble codes. To check codes, at the least, you need an obd2 code reader that will check manufacturer specific codes as well as po codes. Some of the national brand auto stores will check codes for free.

With electronic instrument cluster usually the pcm sends data to instrument cluster, telling the gages what to do. Could be problem with instrument cluster itself or maybe a communications issue between pcm and instrument cluster. I haven't looked at instrument cluster wiring, yet.
