I have a 2004 chevy silverado 1500 4x4 with a 5.3L engine. It seems to squeak whenever I slowly accelerate, but if I accelerate faster, it doesn't make any squeaking noise. The steering also seems really loose. The squeak only lasts for a second, it sounds like a momentary metal rubbing on metal noise, then I don't hear it until I stop, and accelerate again. Any ideas on what might be making the squeaking noise, or why my steering is feeling loose?

Noise is tricky to diagnose from cyberspace. The steering issue could be low tire pressure or ? If it seems to be something that you dont feel safe with, by all means have the vehicle inspected for safety straightaway please! Where is or what about the noise can you tell me more about?
