The intake is just bolted on to the engine. The problem is getting to it. You need to remove the wiring, vacuum hoses, throttle cable... Make sure to mark where everything goes so you can replace it when you reinstall it. After that, you need to simply unbolt the intake and remove it. I do recommend, however, to drain the coolant before doing this or you will have a mess. Also, make sure to disconect the battery before starting.
