2004 Chevrolet S 10 Hear Grinding Noise From4wd 2wd Start Off Humming Sound

i hear a grinding noise when i go from4wd to 2wd it start off as a humming sound at higher speeds but when i slow down it goes to a grindig noise, then when i come to a stop it seems to click out then it might happen again a few days later

have the transfer case checked. it may be fluid related or it may have a bad gear or syncro. in any case, it will do damage if you keep on doing this
