Is there gas in the tank? Have you checked fuel pump pressure to the engine?

The tanknis almost empty I was wondering if I set of the inertia switch when I syepped on the gas and if so how do I reset it I dont have much cash and want to do what I can before towing it to a mecanic

It's unlikely that you caused the switch to kick based on what happened. If you question it, check to see if spark and fuel are getting to the engine. If they are, the switch is fine. However, if they are, it should run.
