CAMSHAFT POSITION (CMP) SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





Remove the power steering pump and reposition.
Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.
Remove the CMP sensor bolt.
Remove the CMP sensor.
Inspect the sensor O-ring for wear, cracks, or leakage if the sensor is not being replaced.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Lubricate the O-ring with clean engine oil and replace the O-ring if damaged.




Install the CMP sensor.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the CMP sensor bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in) .

Connect the CMP sensor electrical connector.
Install the power steering pump.
