Is the car screwed if the rods are knocking

Pulled into the parking lot, car died tried to start it up but wouldn't. Popped the hood & for sum reason there wasn't ANY oil. How that happened I don't know. Put sum oil in it & it still won't start.

YES SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE DESTROYED THE MOTOR. YOU ARE BETTER OFF GETTING A JUNK YARD MOTOR THAN HAVING SOMEONE GO IN AND REBUILD IT!

Pardon my language but o my flipping gosh. Well luckily its not technically my car, but I thought it would be loud it didn't seem that loud. It needs the fuel filter changed but can't find no one to help do it & the car owner isn't able to afford sum one to fix it.

HOW MANY QUARTS OF OIL DID IT TAKE TO GET IT BACK FULL? AND NOW U SHOULDNT HAVE TO WORRY TOO MUCH ABOUT THE FUEL FILTER SORRY ABOUT YOUR PROBLEM BUT ITS ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA TO CHECK YOUR OIL EVERYTIME YOU GET GAS! IT DOES NOT TAKE BUT JUST A MINUTE.
