chevy Impala 2004 V6 would not start twice. Took it to the shop and they could find nothing wrong. a jump got it going. All parts passed check. The message center was blinking "security" and then battery though the battery was strong. Could security be the problem and can it be by passed with a jump.

If it was cranking strong, the battery is good. If the security light was on, that is the problem. It can be bypassed, but I don't recommend it. Also, jump starting doesn't by-pass it. I recommend taking it to a dealer and allowing them to diagnose and repair. In the future, if you allow the vehicle to sit with the key in the run position for ten+ minutes, the security light should go out and it should start.
