Coolant

I have a 2004 Chevy Impala. It calls for Dex-cool coolant. Can I use a regular 50/50 coolant?

Yes but Flush and flush out Dex Cascade dishwasher uis what GM recomends

I agree STRONGLY with Docfixit. Get that Dex-Mud out of there. GM called it "lifetime" coolant in their advertising but the sticker on the reservoir says to replace it every three years. Even that is way too long. The company that makes it doesn't even recommend leaving it in for three years.
