2004 Chevrolet Express While Driving Reduced Engine Power Light Comes On Van

while driving ,the reduced engine power light comes on and the van will accelerate up to only 30
miles on the speedometer.I have to turn the motor off ,wait for 5 minutes than it will start and
then i can drive it normally for a while untill it does the same thing again. but, when i use my A/C
i can drive it all day . WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM?

either the throttle body has failed or the pedal sensor.
