swapped engine and now it wont start due to security problem...

I put a motor in my 04 colorado and now after it is all in and done it wont start and the security light is on.

try resetting the security system. turn key on for up to 10 minutes or until light goes out. then turn key off and try to see if vehicle will restart. if it does it's ok. if not you'll have to have a tech 2 put on it to see what is wrong. mostly dealers have tech 2's
