I have a 2004 Chevy Cavalier. l drover the car and jam it into park maybe a little to hard. When l came out again to drive it would shift into drive but it was not going into gear. The shifter is in the floor. I think l may of broken the pin that alows it to pull it into gear in the trans. Is there a way l can fix it there the top inside the car, or will l have to do it from under the car. When l shift it from park it slides very freely. Thats why l think the pin there had broken........

It sounds like you bent or broke the linkage. Have a helper shift through the gears while you look under the hood where the linkage connects to the transmission. If nothing is mooving, follow the linkage until you find where the problem is. You may have to get under the vehicle.
