I have a 2004 Chevy Cavalier with a Ecotec 2.2L engine. I just rebuilt the engine. I have a brand new alternator, brand new battery and a starter that is about 5 months old. When I start the car, the battery light comes on and stays on. Why?? How do I fix this problem.

Have you tested the battery voltage at idle at the battery yet?
