Why would the engine rev when the cluch is pushed in? It's a 2004 Chevy Aveo.

This winter my car idols realy high. When driving it is ok but when I press in the cluch to shift the RPMs jump up instead of going down.

Clean the idle air control valve and test the TPS sensor and see what happens
