Hi.I am trying to find the MAF sensor in my 2004 Chevy Aveo and I am not able to locate it. I have looked in the manual and it's not there and I have googled online but cannot find the same part in my car. Please help!

I see. Thank you for looking/responding. Maybe someone can help me. This started about 2-3 months ago. At first when I tried to turn my car on it wouldn't so I would try it the second time and it did. I didn't think of anything. About 4 weeks ago my "check engine" light came on right before vacation. I had the codes pulled; P2279 and P0172. For P2279-we found that the air intake hose has cracked in multiple places so I guess that's what that is all about I have to order that part and it will come in 3-4 days. As for P0172 Bank 1 Sensor 1--I guess this would be the O2 sensor which I guess it's dead b/c we took it off and the metal part is BLACK I mean BLACK as night. We went to the junk yard and took one off of an Aveo and it is just plain silver(not black) and put it on and turned the car on and tried to drive it but the car stalled and turned off so we ended up taking the "new from junk yard sensor" off and that metal part is black as night too. Tried to turn it back on and it turned back on but when you turn it on it works funky sounds like it's accelerating and no one is touching the car. Now it smells really bad like rotten eggs when it's on so I guess the catalytic converter is dead too? The other thing that I have noticed when driving it is it has a hard time maybe to the point where it doesn't switch over to gear 2 from 1 at all. So now you can drive it for like 10 to 15 seconds and it stalls and turns off but turns right back on. Can anyone relate or help in any way?
