Reduced engine power

Check engine light is on, and randomely when i'm driving the car goes down to idle speed and says reduced power...turn car off and then it's fine...also traction control light sometimes comes up that it's off

we have a code reader...my husband says one of the 6 codes coming up is something about an air leak
