2004 Cadillac Deville Morning Drive Approximately 1 Mile Car Shuts Off Brake

In the morning when I drive approximately 1 mile, car shuts off when I brake to reach corner, battery light goes on and car re-starts quickly but I have to race the motor to proceed.
