2004 Cadillac Cts Engine Oil Over Heating Change Regularly Mobil 1 Synthetic

My engine oil is over heating. I change my oil regularly and use Mobil 1 synthetic. It is a Cts V. Does it need a lighter oil or special oil due to its high performance engine?
