Try this and let me know what you find. Start the engine, let it get hot, with the heater on high and feel both heater core hoses. Do both get hot?
Also, make sure the coolant level is full.

okeedokee where are heater core hoses located, and if not hot then what?

The heater core hoses will mount at the firewall to the heater core. The hoses will end at that point. If one is hot and the other is cold, that tells me there is no circulation through the core. If both are hot, that tells me chances are the blend air door is the problem.
