I have a 2004 Buick Rainier AWD that makes a pulsing sound similar to a helicoper. It has been making this noise for the past two month however it seems to be getting louder now. We recently had the transmission rebuilt however it is still making this noise. It sounds like it is coming from the front left side (maybe). My husband changed the tie rod end. The car is stilll making that roaring sound. Do you have any ideas of what this could be? We have checked u joints, checked ball joints, checked wheel bearing, changed front left tire, changed tie rod , and checked brake pads.

try spraying choke cleaner around the intake manifold as it may be cracked or leaking. Or does the pusling sound only make the noise when driving? if it does that it may be wind around a window making noise. these are hard to diagnose via computer you may have to have a pro look at this.
