heating/cooling guage cluster display won't light up

It has gone on and off for about a year. After it comes on and you drive for awhile, it stays on. When it blinks on and off, you can tap the display cover and it comes back on and then fades, and repeatedly doing this,, it will stay on. NOw it won't come on at all. Thanks
