It doesn't work and it is not the fuse. When I change the fuse it blows immediately. Nothing in the lighter or alternate power receptacles. Somewhere a short but don't know where. Don't know anything else. Don't know what to do from here. Should I try to replace the lighter socket or the alternate power socket?

You need to trace the wiring from the power supply to locate where there is a short. If you can, disconnect all outlets and see if it still blows a fuse. If it does, then you know it is a wiring issue and not one of the outlets. If it doesn't, then one of the outlets is the problem.
