My 2004 BMW 530i stutters and misfires going up every hill. Seems ok on the flat. Is it coils? How can I get to the answer?

IF you have an ignition misfire, the check engine light should come on. If it has, have the computer scanned to identify where the misfire is coming from. Also, check to make sure the plug wires and plugs are good. You could have a weak wire that is arcing. Also, check fuel pump pressure. Low or weak pressure (under a load) can cause a misfire. IF you need how to directions, go to our homepage under the DIY section. There are directions and videos for each.
