2004 Bmw 320i Driver S Door Fob Works Open Lock Doors T Physically Door

2004 320i - driver's door. fob works to open and lock doors BUT can't physically open door from outside when unlocked. Can only open from inside. For a while it would open from outside if sharply lifted handle upwards on a particular angle. please help. driving me insane and don't want to take to dealer. Thanks!

Could be a problem with the door handle or the latch. Someone is going to have to remove the door panel and observe what happens when it'sd locked and unlocked and when the handle is lifted.
