my 2004 audi a8 is nearly lying on the ground both green and orange lights are on on the dash do I need four new shocks or is there another issue any help is greatly appreciated

It sounds like a sensor issue and not a shock. You should have the computer scanned to determine what is causing the lights to come on. Most likely, a code will indicate the defective part.

Your car is right at the 10 year mark. On just about any vehicle with air suspension, the system pretty much dies at the 10 year mark. Even if the problem "today" was something costing $200-$300, a much more expensive repair is around the corner. The cheapest way out by far, would be a coil spring conversion.
