I have a Audi a6 2 litre turbo and when I accelerate quickly it shudders and it seems like something is holding it back, why?

May be a fuel delivery problem, when where the filters last serviced, check for any fault codes, i do think that this will be electronic controlled injection pump, there may be a fault code logged, check this out first.
