Noise in engine

I have a 2004 Audi A4 avant automatic transmition 9.1. At the moment neutral the engine is working well. At the moment is the D or R engine make a crackling noise as kr-kr-kr-kr. From that comes this noise?

Hard to say over internet. Possible flywheel issue. Does car drive?

Noise is continuos while driving?

While driving it does not crackle. Only when the sets in D or R and stays without moving.

Does the noise come from the transmission? At what rev range does it taper off or dose it cut off quickly?

Time to go get a trans tech to check this one out, they will have to run a few hands on tests to see what is going on here.
