Is this my fuel pump?

2004 ALL OTHER MAKES ALL OTHER MODELS
4 CYL • FWD • AUTOMATIC

I was backing up from the driveway and my service engine light came on for a sec and went off. But I have been having problem with my fuel gauge here recently and Im wondering if maybe its my fuel pump?

No. The Check Engine light turns on when the Engine Computer detects a problem that can adversely affect emissions. A diagnostic fault code will be set in memory. Many auto parts stores can read those codes for you to give you an idea of which circuit or system has the problem.
