My Drivers headlight is out was replaced with a D2S low beam lamp, which is a yellowish bulb instead of blue. I am now told that the bulb needed in a D2S Xenon bulb. There are so many variations in terms of the blue color that I am not sure which D2s Xenon bulb is the one needed for my car. Also, even with the replaced D2S bulb which is yellow, it only works the low beam. I am now told there there are two separate bulbs a high beam and a low beam. If both bulb are out, is that am indication of bigger problem. Is it unusual for both bulb to go out at the same time.
thanks.

A D2S is the correct low beam bulb. Yes, there are two bulbs and it isn't uncommon for both to go bad. If it happened at the exact same time, it would be odd. Check fuses under the hood for the head lights. I believe there are seperate fuses for them.
