2004 Acura Mdx Saw Post On Rain Sensing Windshield Currently Cannot Get Wipers

I saw a post on here for the rain sensing windshield. I currently cannot get the wipers to work on the auto setting, although every once in a while they will turn on (sometimes in a car wash). I know the windshield has been replaced. Where is the sensor located for the wipers? And do you think I could just replace the sensor, or would it be best to somehow rewire the wipers to override the sensor?

On front, middle of roof.
You can't override the system and if you use manual setting, that would be equivalent to overiding the system.
