why does the abs /anti skid light comes on and goes off ,fitted a new abs sensor onj rear wheel,fault cleared,after a few miles warning light came back on any ideas what is the cause and how to rectify

scan for codes and check for short in wiring if isn't fixed

Which sensor was replaced and why did you replace the sensor? What codes were scanned? If it is for a rear wheel sensor fault check the wheel hubs for damage or play. I would also inspect the the wiring harness by the steering column for chaffing especially if he light comes on while making turns. Hope this helps you.
