The thremostate is not moving from start up but it warms up and the heater begings to work.
Previous On cold days it has always taken a long time for the thremostate to work.

I currently do not have a TDi Thermostat Removal Video... but you can watch this 1.8T video to get an idea of
what is involved.

The 1.8T thermostat is in the EXACT same location (behind the water pump), but some of the engine components
around it will be different looking.

Your TDI is actually easier to replace because you have more room.

Remove the top engine cover and then follow the bottom radiator hose to the engine. The Hose is attached to the
Thermostat Cover.

Two 10mm hex head bolt secure the cover to the engine block.

One more video... this is the ALH TDi that has an Injection Pump. The Thermostat is located under the pump... if you do not
have an Injection Pump, you will have more room to work in.
