I have a 2003 VW Jetta with a VR6 engine 5 speed automatic transmission, I want to replace it with a manual transmission can any body help me with the specific gearbox or any alternative manual gearbox that would work on the VR6. thank you.

Find a donor VR6 vehicle of same model / year and remove everything from it so there is no question as to if it will work or not.

Same year Golf VR6 will work also.

Some of the computer modules will need recoding so you don't get any "communication error" messages because of the missing Automatic Transmission.
