my rear brake light needs renewing but i cannot get the old bulb out please can you help

Use a piece of rag to hold the bulb and gently push in. Once you feel the bulb moving, twist it counterclockwise and pull bulb out of socket. Becareful not to use excessive force as you can break the bulb.
